Hometown Care. Clinical Experience. Serving West Texas Since 1996.
For 30 years, Texas OxyCare has helped people throughout San Angelo and the Concho Valley live healthier, safer, and more independent lives at home.
Founded in 1996 by San Angelo native and licensed Respiratory Therapist Shawn Leonard, Texas OxyCare was built around a simple idea: people needing home medical equipment deserve more than a product. They deserve knowledgeable guidance, dependable service, and a local team that genuinely cares about their well-being.
Today, Shawn and his wife, Brandi Leonard, own and operate Texas OxyCare together, combining decades of respiratory, nursing, clinical, and home healthcare experience with the personal service of a locally owned San Angelo business.
Experience You Can Trust
Shawn's background as a Respiratory Therapist gives Texas OxyCare a strong clinical foundation, particularly in oxygen therapy, respiratory equipment, CPAP and sleep therapy. Since opening the doors in 1996, he has worked with thousands of patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals throughout West Texas.
Brandi brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Clinical Nurse Specialist. Her career has included hospital care, specialty medicine, home healthcare, medical device technology, clinical education, and teaching future nurses at Angelo State University.
Since joining Texas OxyCare in 2015, Brandi has helped expand the company's services and partnerships, including the development of its Home Sleep Testing program and increased access to respiratory, mobility, and home medical equipment.
Together, Shawn and Brandi bring something increasingly difficult to find in healthcare: experienced clinical professionals who are also the owners of the local company serving you.
Local Means Something to Us
Texas OxyCare isn't a branch office of a national corporation. We're a San Angelo business owned and operated by people who were raised here, built their careers here, raised their family here, and continue to call West Texas home.
That local connection shapes the way we do business.
When you have a question, you can talk to people who know the equipment and understand the needs of the patients using it. We work closely with local physicians and healthcare providers, help patients understand how to properly use their equipment, and remain available when questions arise.
From oxygen and respiratory therapy to CPAP supplies, mobility products, home medical equipment, and sleep testing, our goal is to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
Neighbors Taking Care of Neighbors
After three decades in business, Texas OxyCare has had the privilege of serving generations of West Texas families. That trust is something Shawn, Brandi, and the entire Texas OxyCare team take personally.
We believe patients should be treated with respect. We believe questions deserve knowledgeable answers. We believe service shouldn't end when equipment leaves our door.
Most importantly, we believe there's still tremendous value in having a locally owned home medical equipment provider right here in San Angelo.
Because at Texas OxyCare, you're not just a customer.
You're our neighbor.
